Liz Donovan
Founder & Executive Director

  • Experienced Senior Move Manager with her own business

  • Extensive 30+ year background of writing corporate documentation

  • Familiarity with NASMM A+ Accreditation process

    • Three years assisting Senior Move Manager Business Owners aiming for accreditation

    • 100% success rate on first try

My process

  • Review and discuss existing Company business practices, documentation, forms, and checklists.

  • Create new material as needed to satisfy the NASMM A+ standards.

  • Provide and complete overall organizational document framework, working in conjunction with the Business Owner.

  • Walk through online A+ application with Business Owner to ensure correctness before submission.

  • Assist Business Owner during the A+ review process in providing requested documentation to answer any reviewer questions.

  • Assist Business Owner in case of an audit requested by NASMM reviewer.

Results

A set of improved and complete Company-specific documentation that not only satisfies the immediate goal of meeting NASMM A+ criteria, but also serves as a useful repository of Company business procedures, processes, policies and forms.

Pricing

My goal is to be reasonably priced so that it makes economic sense for a Business Owner to spend their time on their main business—finding and servicing clients—and leave the bulk of the documentation to me.

The billing arrangement below allows Business Owners to control their cash flow and feel comfortable with the project’s progress.

Initial deposit

$250

Hourly rate

$50/hour

  • Charged after first 5 hours (covered by deposit)

  • Invoiced in 8 - 12 hour increments

Timing

For most Business Owners, the effort involves between 30 and 60 hours. The schedule can be compressed or expanded to suit the needs and cash flow of the Business Owner.

Of course, the length of this process is dependent on what Company documentation already exists (manuals, forms, checklists), if the Company has employees, and Company size. Existing Company documentation will be reviewed to determine to what extent it will satisfy the NASMM standards and is then integrated into the provided documentation framework as appropriate.

If you are aiming for accreditation during a specific A+ window (Jan 1-31; April 1-30; July 1-31; October 1-31), this must be discussed at the time of project initiation.

What People Are Saying

“I would never have gotten my NASMM A+ accreditation if it wasn't for Liz. I am not a good writer and it takes me forever to write anything important. Thanks to Liz I got my accreditation done in no time at all.

Liz acted as the overall project manager and patiently guided me through the process. Every one to two weeks we would have a conference call via Skype and talk about different functions in my senior move management company, so Liz could document our processes and procedures. In between meetings I would review drafts until it felt correct.

Liz is is very methodical, efficient and professional - I can highly recommend her to any NASMM member who wants help with their A+ Accreditation.”

“Liz’s expertise and fabulous writing skills made the most tedious part of pulling my Employee Handbook and my Policies and Procedures together for my A+ such a breeze!

She helped me stick to a schedule that made it happen a lot faster than it would have without her!”

— Helen Ingwersen
Owner, Top Move Management (San Francisco Bay Area)

“As move managers, we easily divide large tasks into smaller pieces while downsizing a home for a client. The thought of tackling the NASMM A+ application process, however, had me feeling like a deer in the headlights, totally overwhelmed and no idea where or how to start!

Thank goodness I hired Liz Donovan to help me through this daunting process. Liz’s calm, organized and objective approach to the whole process allowed me to sleep at night. She knows what needs to be included in each section of the accreditation project and her attention to detail insured that I had all of the policies, procedures and documentation in place. As part of the process, she made great suggestions about things to add or revise in my team handbook, for instance, to clarify any conflicting language.

I highly recommend Liz for her skills, patience and professional know-how. Many thanks, Liz!”
